Should I shave before induction?

I know it sounds dumb but should I try to shave before I go in to be induced tonight? Im wondering if it will make it easier to keep it clean after I give birth. Any opinions?

If you want to clean it up I would trim instead. In our birthing class the nurse told us not to shave before labor because it can increase the risk of infection.

I had my baby 4 days ago and I hadn’t shaved for weeks before it hasn’t and didn’t cause me any issues with not shaving .

They say not to shave after 38 weeks because you could get an infection if shaved(the hairs help prevent infection) PLUS you don't want to be all itchy on top of already sore and irritated from birth.

I got waxed a few weeks prior to labor with my newborn.  only a little bit of hair has grown in.  I was shaved before my eldest birth because he was a c section. I didn't do anything before my second. think I was pretty hairy. it was tolerable.

I used a trimmer to get it as short as I could without actually shaving, shaving might be uncomfortable growing back in after.

I didn't shave before my son was born but because my sons heart rate dropped a few times when I had contractions my doctor shaved me right before I started pushing in case I had to have an emergency c section
