When did you start sleep training?

My DS is 2 weeks old and we’ve been having a hard time when it comes to sleep. He originally would only sleep on my chest and would cry the moment I put him down.  Now he will sleep in the rock and play, and yesterday he took 2 four hour naps! The bad news is they were during the day so he was up and fussy all night. How do I switch it so he sleeps during the night and up during the day,

Yes you can have an early bed routine but babies at this age change their sleep patters often ( milestones - teething -colic) .but in no way don’t let your baby cry out to sleep , meet his needs and you ll be rewarded in a short time with a well balanced child .❤️

I didn't so much try to change his sleep patterns during the day because babies sleep a lot but right around 2 weeks is when my husband went back to work. I decided to try a bedtime routine. I use to turn the lights out at 8pm, give the baby a bottle and rock him. Sometimes he would be out cold in minutes sometimes it would take an hour. As the weeks went on it got better and better. He would wake every 3-4 hours to eat and by 9 weeks he was sleeping 9 hours straight. I think whatever you try just stay consistent... most babies like that.
