I started Micronor (the mini-pill) a bit over a week ago. I am currently 5 weeks postpartum & my bleeding had stopped after 2 weeks (other than some spotting here & there on physically active days). By day 3 on the pill I started having bleeding like a regular period consistently all day. It has been ongoing every day since. I’m 99% sure it’s not my period returning as I am exclusively breastfeeding & my periods are normally hellish (& I’ve heard your first one postpartum is especially bad!) I have no period symptoms at all & since I read some women have bleeding at first & up to a few months with this type of birth control I was wondering at other’s experiences. I read that “spotting/bleeding between periods is normal for the first few months”. I am eager to “get back in the saddle” since my husband & I haven’t for over 3 months. But with a heavy flow between periods, & then periods starting up, that won’t be happening. I am NOT trying to wait a long time for this to die down & night just have to do cycle tracking instead. Tell me there’s hope!!
