Living together, bill split?

Hey ladies! If you live with your SO, how do you split the bills? My man and I are moving in together in August. We make roughly the same, I may make a little more. But he has child support and most likely by then he'll have legal fees too. How did you and your SO decide to split bills?

Before we moved in together, we added him to all of my accounts and he closed his. He then changed his direct deposit to our shared account. I also added him to my credit card accounts since I use them frequently. It all goes in/comes out of the same pot.

We didn't. We moved in together after the wedding but money went into the common pot and things got paid. No his money and her money, just ours.

We just said all household bills will be split 50/50. I make more hourly but he brings home more than me because he lives for OT. If one is short and the other has it then of course we will cover but mostly 50/50

when we first moved together he made $7 more than me and now he makes $5 more but i have a car and he doesn’t so i have to take care of that since its how we both get around so he pays rent and i pay everything else

When I lived with my ex bf  we shared the bills 50/50  as it seemed fair tbh  abs any extra money we had.  We put it aside in a pot off emergency money day gas eltric  xx   His daughter birthday   Or the odd night out x but we always had  our own money to treat ourselves x

Before kids she paid health insurance, utilities and her car. I paid mortgage, cable/mobile and my car. We paid our own insurance and had seperate accounts but had password and PIN numbers. Now she is a sahm and we just use one account.

We have always had one bank account and put all of our money in it.

Hubby and I have a joint acc where all our money goes. Then we calculated how much we would have left and gave ourselves a set allowance each month to cover personal things like clothes and petrol etc that way we have our own little pot but all the bills are paid on time! X
