Seen vs. Saw
Is it just me or does it drive anyone else crazy when they read a post and ‘seen’ is being used incorrectly? It drives me mad! 😂 And it seems that an alarmingly large amount of people on this app don’t know the correct use of ‘seen’ vs ‘saw’. I can’t count how many times I’ve read a post with the following:
“I seen pictures on his phone”
“I seen Ashley walk away”
JUST NO! 😂 This is correct:
“I saw pictures on his phone”
“I saw Ashley walk away”
If you’d really like to use ‘seen’, here’s a few examples of it being used correctly:
“I’ve seen pictures on his phone”
“I’ve seen Ashley around town”
“I haven’t seen that movie yet”
I understand a few spelling mistakes or grammatical errors, but wow... there’s nothing more uneducated sounding than someone saying “I seen it with my own eyes!” 😂 I can’t be the only one with this pet peeve, anyone else!?
