12 days before your period wouldn't be super late for ovulation. a regular luteal phase is on avg 14 days long. It's also way to soon for implantation assuming if u did conceive. 12 days before a period sounds like ovulation hun. sounds like ovulation spotting. totally normal. good luck!

might be implantation bleeding r u trying to get pregnant, that's possibly what it is unless you're ovulating super late.
