How Important Is It To Stay In The House Until Newborn Gets Their First Shots ? Is It Ok To Go For A Short Walk So Long As Baby Is Covered Up & Warm In Stroller ? Being In The House ALL DAY Is Really Beginning To Get To Me I Crave Fresh Air & Sunshine (We Live In A Basement Apt) I Live With My Inlaws & I Feel Guilty Constantly Asking Them To Watch Her . Am I Being Selfish?

I didn't know people did this until i read on this app. We took our baby out right when we left the hospital. Walks, shopping, see friends. It's fine.

I took my baby out right away. I can’t sit in the house or I’ll go nuts. He’s 7 weeks now and when I take him out he’s either being worn in my wrap or in his stroller with the top closed. Just don’t let anyone you don’t know get to close or touch. There’s no need to be paranoid and sit in the house! Plus fresh air is good for them!

You absolutely need to leave the house! Never lock yourself away. I swear that’s how moms end up with postpartum depression. I’ve been taking my daughter out since the day she came home from the hospital and have had zero issues. Just be smart about it. Don’t let strangers touch her and everyone will be just fine.

It's not a "thing " in the UK. Babies here get their first lot of vaccinations at 8 weeks and there's no advice to stay indoors til then. If anything we're advised to get out a bit, it's good for your mental health.

Just avoid large crowds or strangers getting too close to baby. We took him grocery shopping with us from the first week on. I just made sure the cover was mostly over the stroller so no one would try to reach in and touch the baby. Otherwise, go, get out!
