Period OR Pregnant??

i started my pills late and i had sex this weekend but yesterday i started to spot and this morning i wiped and it looked like it could be my period im cramping and such. would it just be my period or insemination!?! I truly believe it would be my period because i started my pills late and it threw my body off? advice?!?! help?!?
