Lily was due on the 14th November.. I went for my sweep at 40+2 weeks on the 16th November.. Everything was fine, but the midwife said that my baby had gotten smaller, so had to go to the hospital for checks to see if everything was okay.. Everything was, and I was booked in to be induced the following Sunday 19th at 3pm!

Whilst in bed on early hours of Sunday Morning (12:30am) I began having my pains, which I thought was Braxton Hicks at the time.. Soon turned out to be contractions! I stayed at home for 4 hours, until I could not handle the pain anymore, and my contractions where coming every 3 minutes for a minute, so I rang the hospital and they told me to head straight up! I thought they were going to send me home as my waters had not gone yet! Upon inspection around 05:30am they said I was 6cm! Which was music to my ears!! Which then they started giving me gas and air and was getting everything ready.. 2 hours later our gorgeous girl was born! Had a slight tear to my labia, which required about 2 stitches, not sure how many exactly but she was literally stitching for about 4 minutes! But everything else was fine!

She weighed 5lbs 13, and 32cm long..

She’s now 10 days old and weighs 6lbs 3! X
