My due date was November 27th. But my OB was going out of town that week and I didn’t want anyone else to delivery me so she said the earliest she can induce is at 39 weeks. Cool! So I was scheduled for induction Nov 20th. But baby girl didn’t wait she wanted to come on the 18th. So I went to Walgreens to pick up some pictures and as I was in line all of a sudden I felt water trickling down my legs (I’m wearing a short knee high summer dress as it’s always hot in Houston) anyways water wouldn’t stop coming out. It felt like I was peeing on myself but I know I wasn’t. This all happened about 1:45 pm. I was so embarrassed. I went to an aisle to ck if the water stop and sure enough it wouldn’t stop. I still asked the lady if my picture book was ready she said not yet lol so I left fairly quickly! I called my OB and the on call Dr wasn’t my Dr. so I was driving home waiting for the Dr to call me. I wasn’t having contractions and when I had gone to my appointment the week before I was dialated 1cm. So I got home telling my 14 year old son we can’t go to the movies anymore because I think my water had broke. So he said ok let’s go lol. I called my boyfriend because he was working and I told him I was still waiting for the on call dr to call me back but I think it was time. I got in the shower(still no contractions ). The Dr finally called me about 2:30ish and said it sounds like it was my water and for me to go to the hospital. I called my boyfriend and said to come home so we can go to the dr. He doesn’t work so close so I started washing dishes lol I know even my son said mom relax. I was nervous. Still no contractions. I got to the Methodist hospital downtown about 4:30 pm. Checked in. Nurse checked to see how much I was dialated still 1 cm. They called the oncall dr and he was gona call my OB to see if she wanted to come deliver me since she wasn’t on call and she said yes!!! I was so happy she was coming! She’s such a sweet Dr. so she ordered pitocin because since my water broke and I wasn’t dilated there is a 24 hr period that the.l baby needs to come out. So they drew blood started my pitocin and man oh man!! That kicked in pretty quick. I started getting contractions. They said I can get an epidural whenever I wanted. I said I’ll wait a lil bit more. With the pitocin contractions come more frequent much faster. They checked and I was dilated 2 cm. Contractions kept coming and I got up from the bed to stand. I was so uncomfortable. I asked for the epidural. Everything went well with that. I started dilating quicker. My dr was monitoring me from home and she said she was watching my contractions and she called the nurse to come check me and sure enough I was dilated 10 cm and she said I have to call ur dr it’s time!! My dr for there so quick and she cked me and the baby was right there so she gowned up and had me start pushing. In 5 pushes she was out at 11:38 pm weighed 6.15 19 inches long. We welcomed Baby Camila
