IUDs and Antidepressants

I’m thinking about getting an IUD. I have a long term boyfriend and we’re often stupid and irresponsible and he just pulls out instead of using a condom. I know. But anyway I don’t want to go on the pill because my primary care physician said it will likely interact poorly with my antidepressant. I’m very emotionally all over the place, and I need this to just keep me balanced. Anyway, do IUDs interact poorly with antidepressants? I’m clueless. I also have very heavy and painful periods, so I’m hoping it may help w those, too.
