my family friend said it caused her Father pancreas cancer??? I'm scared to take another dose??? bit I want to become pregnant!!

I never heard of metformin causing cancer. I would keep taking your medicine as prescribed by your doctor

The ER version was recalled for having NDMA : a cancer causing chemical. Hope this helps !

Metformin is giving to patients with diabetes and if it caused some for of cancer I am sure they wouldn't prescribe it as much as they do.
