Birth control recommendations?

Question

I'm 22, never been on any form of birth control. I've always been way too scared of the side affects, I'm already Super moody as it is so I don't want anything making it worse, I don't want to gain weight either as I already have a hard time dealing with my weight... but I am married now and we just use the pull out method and I know it's not safe, and I really don't want to get pregnant so I need to actually consider birth control... any suggestions?  Let me know what your experiences have been

I personally love the Depo shot. 
there are a lot of people who hate it, but it's been a miracle birth control for me. 
I tried the pill & halfway through the second month I had to stop because I had the opposite of a period, I bled constantly except for 3-7 days out of the month.
With the Depo I never or hardly bleed & the only side-effect I've noticed is it makes me hungry. 
When girls say it "made the gain weight" they are being slightly misleading. It makes you hungry, it doesn't forcibly add weight on to you, I asked my doctor. lol.
but anyway, I recommend the Depo shot! and I'm even afraid of needles but it's really not that bad.

I’ve tried the pill and the patch. Patch was nice because you just stick it on and switch it every week. Pill is good if you can remember, I’m currently natural and my body feels a lot better. 😅

Do not get implants, IUD's anything artificial that gets inserted in your body, I would never be comfortable with putting a foreign object inside of the body, and I have heard too many horror stories. I definitely recommend you get a low dosage birth control mini pill that you take at the same time everyday. It's hassle free, and I personally had zero side effects. Infact my period cramps were non existent and periods were so much more bearable. I used Ortho tricyclen-lo as it's also FDA approved for acne, which I was struggling with at the time.

I use to be on the pill but it was making me feel sick. So my nurse practitioner switched me to the Nuva Ring. I haven't had any side effects while on it and I absolutely love it. You insert it into your vagina and leave it for 3 weeks. On the forth week you remove it and that's the week you get your period and repeat. And on a plus side, my boyfriend doesn't even feel it.

I personally use the patch which for me mostly just causes itchiness where the patch is, nausea, cramps, headaches, symptom's like that and as for protection for me at least it has been very protective of me getting pregnant once my bfs even came inside me for a whole minute or so and the patch even protected me from getting pregnant that time

Nexplanon Implant!!! 
It last for 3 years and is 99.9% effective. All it takes is an appointment to get it put in. It goes in your arm and leaves a very very small scar where they place it. It is 1.6 inches long and isn’t noticeable at all!  
You have to wait 2 weeks before it completely kicks in fully. But it’s worth it! 
You will have a large bruise on your arm but it will go away in a about a week. The side effects are fairly minimal, it really depends on the person. For me mainly it’s a change in my cycle (heavier, longer) It can also come more than once a month but it is completely normal!!

Mood swings may or may not happen on any hormonal BC. Weight gain is only linked to the shot. 
Everyone reacts differently so you may have to try a few methods before you find one you like. 
I recommend starting with the pill as you can immediately stop taking it if it isn't for you and you've got a lot of options. 
The ring or patch are also options that are easy to stop if you don't like it and you don't have to remember every day. 
The implant and iud are good LARC but you have to have a doctor to insert and remove them which is why I wouldn't use it as your first kind (personal opinion though). 
There's a non hormonal iud if you want to stay away from hormones as well. 
I don't know a lot about the shot so I don't feel comfortable recommending it.

Don’t do the pill hun. Both of my children were conceived while I️ we faithfully taking the pill.
