Bloody show or bleeding from cervical check?

Question

I️ just got home from my 38 week check. I’m 2-2.5 cm dilated, 75% effaced and baby is at zero station. I️ know bleeding is normal after a cervical check and in the past I’ve just had spotting after. This time dark brown/red blood soaked through my underwear! 
I️ called L&D; and they said to rest and see if I️t slows down. 
Has anyone had this much bleeding after a cervixal check before ?! Or is it my bloody show?

happened to me two nights ago. completely normal.

yes. I actually had my bloody show right after my cervical check and lost the rest of my mucus plug. Still having brown discharge and it's been almost 3 days.
