heart palpitations?

are here any other breastfeeding moms that are experiencing heart palpitations?? i know they’re related to hormone but i just wanted to see if anyone else is going through this!

I have been having them also. I started having them 1 week ago and at times they are really bad. I went to my doctor and she said it could be from my anxiety, but I only ever had them when I was pregnant but that is very common and they went away and I hadn’t had them since. I have had anxiety for many years. She told me heart palpitations was nothing to have great concern over, but if they kept happening very frequently to go in again and have a EKG done. And that there was medicine that could control them. She said the only concern is if you keep having them very frequently like many a day everyday for more than 2-3 days, it could throw your heart out of rhythm which isn’t good. She said for me it was mostly likely my anxiety cause them. But they do scary me a little bit. Sometimes it takes my breath away.

Have you had your thyroid checked? One of the symptoms of hyperthyroidism is racing heart/heart palpitations, being postpartum can trigger hyperthyroidism, luckily it usually only lasts about a year post birth, I ended up going on a beta blocker for a couple of months to help w/ my hyperthyroidism symptoms & now my thyroid is back to normal, I’m feeling better & I can taper down & then stop the beta blocker, I stopped breastfeeding @ 8 months postpartum for other reasons, baby girl will be 10 months old on Dec. 10th

I also breast feed and she knows this but she didn’t say anything about that being related.
