How often do you give you kid(s) candy?

Just curious. Halloween leaves a lot of extra candy laying around and my son assumes he’s can eat it everyday. It’s hard to tell him no when it’s in the house. So I’m curious to see what people have to say

Rarely in my household. My sisters a dental hygienist and boy i get told all about the patients she has coming in, kids with holes all thru their teeth

They get a piece of candy every day after dinner or after school. Because Halloween 😂. But I don’t really mind it. My kids are super active and well behaved. They brush their teeth twice a day, so it’s really not a big deal.

We use the rule 1 to 3 pieces depending on size, the child has to eat lunch or dinner fully none of the I ate 3 bites I want junk and they must brush their teeth daily we also limit juices, chocolate milk and sodas to 1 glass a day. Occasionally we reward them a piece for cleaning up but if you have issues with a child wanting junk/candy then slowly throw it out and tell them they need to eat fruit and veggies if they are hungry. Good luck the struggle with treats is so real
