My birth story

Diana
I went in on November the 6th to the er because i was having contractions pretty regularly but not strong enough to be picked up on the monator so the gave me a percacet for pain and sent me home. I go in for my next appointment on November 14th @ 1pm my doc checked me and then immediately sent us to labor and delivery. I had been in labor for that whole week and didn't know it. So they monator me for an hr and come back to the triage room and tell us its baby day. I got in my room the hooked me up to all the monators, got blood and started an iv. My doc came in about 3 hrs later broke my water i was at 3cm so she started me on pitocin. We made the calls to the family and about the time they showed up i started having hard contrations. I pushed through them with the help of both of my mother-in-laws and my husband. Then the doc comes in and checks me finally at 6 cm. Then she tells me shes going home for the night and another doc will be delivering my baby. By this time i had to have something for pain so they give me morphine but it slowed the contractions down. I got stuck at a 6 for two hrs of hard contrations. Finally at 7:30pm the doc came in and checked said i was at 8 cm. By 8:30pm i knew something was wrong my back was hurting so bad and i was still at 8cm. So the doc came in and asked what i wanted to do because i was no longer dialating and i told her to just do a c section. So they took me back and put me completely out since i couldn't have the spinal tap or epidural. Good thing i did my little girl had turned her head and had it stuck between my back and pelvic bones and her umbilical cord was nearly around her neck. She made her grand entrance at 10:27pm November 14 weighted 8lbs and 20 1/ 2 inches long. When i came to the nurse let me hold and nurse her while i was still in the recovery room. I got to see my husband too.. Her name is LeeAnna Kay.
