Don't know if I'm in labor

Hi ladies question! I am 35 weeks 1 day, the past couple days I've been feeling super weird and out of it and my hips started to feel like I rode a horse bareback. Well today I've been cramping a lot of the day pretty bad menstrual cramps, my backs been hurting. I've had some contractions not many and at times off and on it feels like someone is pushing really hard on my vagina with pressure along with really bad upset stomach. My baby has been moving but he's been kinda lazy today and hasn't moved as much as he usually does How did the beginning stages of labor feel for you? I called the dr on call and they said that it's normal and nothing can help my pain. So my question is would you guys go into L&D; if you keep feeling this pain or just ignore it? Ftm
