Coming out as bi

My friends and some close cousins are aware that I do like both guys and girls. At one point I was "talking" to one of my close girl friends. She was the first one to know that I was into girls as well and the first girl I ever got with. We had a "thing" kissed and hooked up a few times. I made a comment to my mom once when this was happening at (15 almost 16) and said "what if I brought a girlfriend home" and her response was "I would think it's just a phase". Since, I've had only one other female relationship that was short lived but never introduced as a girlfriend. My parents only ever knew of 3 botfriends. I am 17 now and wondering if I should tell my parents I am bi or wait til I find the right girl and tell them?
