Heartbreaking

Ashley • TTC #1 since 7/16 - two IUIs, two egg retrievals, two frozen embryo transfers. MMC 3/18 👼. Pregnant with our 🌈, due 4/19! 💜

I found out on Wednesday that of my four 5-day embryos, only one has normal chromosomes (with one mosaic). I'm 29 and my doctor said she was "very surprised" as she would expect around 80% normal for my age. I've been in a depressed haze ever since. Doc recommended another stim cycle, so that's what we're planning to do. The one normal embryo is a pretty good one (4BB) and she expects a 60% chance of live birth (but even as a PhD-level statistician, I'm losing hope in the numbers).

Then, on Friday I found out there is lead in the water at my workplace. I've been drinking that water every day, multiple times a day, for over 3 years and now I'm worried that might have something to do with it. I decided to let my doc know, and I'm waiting to hear back.

So heartbreaking.

Wishing you all the best 💜
