Toddler scared of sand

My little girl is not quite the adventurous type! Don't get me wrong, she does not sit still for a moment, but she wants me with her everywhere. Anyways, back to the topic, she is terrified of sand! In play areas she just stands at the border of the sand and watches kids playing. I can tell she wants to join them but she is scared! She used to be like that with grass too, but she is slowly letting go of that, i can get her to take a few steps on the grass now. But whenever she sees sand she says dirty dirty and wont have anything to do with it. She doesn't even want me to step on sand. I love the beach but obviously i will never push her on the sand or anything, but if anyone has any tips please help!

I live in the UAE btw, so avoiding sand for a while until she forgets is quite impossible, as we can see sand everywhere.
