This may sound like a dumb question but I’m new to all of this... do transvaginal ultra sounds hurt? I’m going to confirm pregnancy this week with one and I just want to be prepared.

I had three in my first trimester and not a single one of them hurt. Honestly, you are paying attention to what is on the screen and not on what’s happening below! It’s real easy to totally forget what is happening when you see your baby on the screen!

No, it’s doesn’t hurt. I always just try to take a deep breathe and relax all my muscles when they insert it. It’s a little uncomfortable, but when you get to see your baby on the screen that first time you honestly forget about it. 🙂

Sometime when they push around it can be uncomfortable. I usually just take 2 Tylenol beforehand.. if you are pregnant, don’t take ibuprofen! 
But they don’t “hurt”! Good luck!

Not at all. They put gel on there so it's the same as if you and your man used lube.
