Bf doesn't let me arch my back while doggy

So...my favorite position has been doggy until I met my current bf. We have amazing sex but when we do doggy he would never let me pot my head down and ass up, he only lets me be in that position👇🏻 yes it also feels good but not as much and I want him to grab my hip/waist but because of the position, he tried but my stomach and thigh is in the way. Is this normal?? I've never met a guy who doesn't want the whole view. It doesn't make me feel as sexy for some reason:/

It's not a serious concern of my mine, I just don't have a close friend to have sex talks at the moment lol
