This is really dumb but who are you supposed to call if you run out of gas?

I knew my car needed gas but I was trying to wait until I left for Christmas break. I haven’t been driving much so I thought it would be fine but when I went to turn my car on to check the tire levels it wouldn’t start.

call a co-worker or get a ride to the gas station. You can pick up a 3 gallon has can to tide you over til you can fill up

Just for the record, I saw you may have gotten it fixed, but there is no one to call for this unless you pay a service like AAA. If you're family is 5 hours away I would seriously look into a membership, it's about $60 a year for an individual, they would replace a flat tire, and bring you gas, they have fixed my windshield wipers before in a storm, towed my car twice for minor issues all free w the membership
