Can I hand pump milk into a bottle?

If so, is there a way or do I just squeeze my nipples.
I don’t have a pumping machine yet and my milk production is too much. My boobs are heavy and full. I am breastfeeding but my baby is only 5 days old so she doesn’t drink enough to relieve the pain.

yes. massage your breast for a minute or so, and simply express the milk into a bottle. you'll figure out what technique works for you as you go along. expressing by hand works better than a pump does for me.
