When I was 20 I broke up with my high school sweetheart because I knew it wasn't what I wanted my life to be. When I was 21 I met my true love (didn't get married until I was 27) and now we've been happily married for 2 years. When I broke up I didn't know exactly what I needed but had a good idea.

I’m 31 and I’m sooooo thankful I never got pregnant or ended up with my serious bfs from in my 20s.

For me yes. However I grew up in an abusive house hold,  and my first boyfriend was verbally, mentally and emotionally abusive.  I didn't realize  at the time that he was abusive,  I thought "oh he doesn't hit me so it isn't abuse. "  These two things caused me to mature at an extremely young age.

Bahaha 20 I had just discovered I love to dance and go out with the girlfriends, my boyfriend (now my husband) and I were building our careers and learning other personal traits. By 26 we were still dating (with no breaks or pause), happy, doing what we love together, and knew we had build and grown as one!!! We are married, expecting our first child together, and still growing!!!

Started dating my husband at 19/20 🤷‍♀️. Married at 22. We’ve been together 9 years now. NEVER thought I’d marry young- just happened. It’s been awesome! However, you and your partner will change A LOT, so you need to be able to accept that. Oh and what I thought I wanted vs my husband were polar opposites...so maybe I didn’t know what I wanted at 20 haha

At 20 my husband and I were about to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary, had a planned 2 year old, and were not far from deciding to try for baby #2. 
In March we will be celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary and welcoming our 4th child. 
I knew without a doubt what I wanted, needed, and expected from a relationship at 20; honestly, I knew much younger than that. However, I had a much different experience growing up than what is considered typical which had a huge impact on my development in every aspect of my life. I don't think my experience is indicative of what IS true for most 20 year olds, but an example of what CAN be true for some.
