Shy Guys

I’m talking to a really shy guy. He’s told me he is very self conscious and I can tell he’s very sensitive. He is also very sweet. But to say he’s shy is an understatement. How do I build up his confidence? How can I make him feel more comfortable with me? We’ve made progress, but he is still somewhat timid.
