Nipple Piercings?

Hey guys! You all are the best reference I could think to come to about this. I’m considering getting my nipples pierced soon, and I was hoping to get some personal stories and opinions! How painful is the initial piercing? How painful is the healing process? How long is the healing process? Anything else?? Thanks!

Mine hurt. it's a piercing and it's going to hurt, so be prepared for that. However it wasn't like unbearable pain. It was a pinch on my left. Then the adrenaline wore off. the second one, right, was super painful. My jaw dropped and I just glared at my boyfriend at the time (for context, he had just had his pierced and told me "Oh it doesn't hurt at all" I found out after the fact that he had passed out from the pain but didn't want to scare me out of it so he didn't tell me). Eat before you go!!!! Very important. You risk passing out or throwing up if you don't. Wear a sports bra or a non padded bra when you go. BEWARE OF SEATBELTS. They will rip those suckers right out if you aren't careful. Your piercing will bleed for probably the first week. Don't try to force it to move or peel off the scabs. A shot glass with warm water held over the piercing for about five minutes should loosen them then wipe them with a qtip dipped in warm water. If that doesn't get rid of the blood, then leave it alone. The scab is still attached and Healing. you don't want to mess with it if it doesn't readily come off with warm water. cleaning will HURT the first week or so. very tender and painful. made me really nauseous so I had to eat before I cleaned them. Healing process for women takes about 8 months to a year+ so be prepared for a long-term commitment of cleaning them multiple times a day. I used dial antibacterial soap and saline solutions to clean mine 3 times a day. Even after they are healed you have to clean them in the shower. They may still have secretions come out. overall, I love my piercings, but I wish I had been more informed beforehand

If you have a good piercer, the process should be fast and sting minimally. It’s a little sore after a few days or so. Healing was fairly easy. Never got an infection. Piercer should give you directions for after care.
