First pregnancy

Hey ladies, so I am about 6 weeks pregnant (first time) and I am experiencing severe cramping on the left side. I had my appointment Monday and my Ob didn't seem concerned but the pain is consistent and worsening. There isn't any bleeding so I don't believe ectopic and I did call my doctor and was told they would get back to me...nothing yet. Any tips ?
