do you judge drug addicts

I used to. Once i got older, I realized that life is very hard and people cope in different ways. Instead of judging now I just pray for them. Pray for their recovery and their survival.

No. I mostly feel bad for them because I doubt that addicts set out with the intentions of falling into an addiction. I always hope that they can find a way to overcome.

I do judge, I think everyone does. Doesn’t mean I don’t get that it’s a tough life to live.

My brother is a drug addict. He has been going down the wrong path for many years, I hope he gets better before it's to late.. I don't judge drug addicts as I know how hard his life is.

I do. I can admit here under my posting name. I do. I have my reasons. And if ppl knew why then they might not be So hard on why I do. pity and empathy for them has long escaped me. and while logically i understand life circumstances and the societal belief of it being a disease, I hate them.
i would apologize for my feelings because I understand humanity at its worst but that would be an empty apology. i am human and have been irreversibly affected by addiction.

you never know anyone's story. How they got addicted or why. I watched my grandfather kill himself with alcoholism because he never got over the murder of his first wife and daughter. he never stopped blaming himself. When I think of any addiction, I think of him and ask myself would I have been strong enough to handle that without trying to find an escape from the pain? I can't say for sure I would have been. I give them pity and pray they get better. I don't pass judgement.

I used to. I used to think they knew better and were intentionally ruining their lives. But then i married an addict and learned that it is an legitimate illness and a mental disease and it eats away at the addict, along with anyone close to them. It's up to the addict to get better. So now, I feel the deepest empathy and wish I could help any addict that i meet to want to get better, like my husband did.
