I’m not talented enough to draw, sew, or craft.....
So I raise chickens instead!! When I’m not obsessing over trying to have a baby, I obsess over my chickens. ☺️
I got my first 6 chicks last spring at Tractor Supply Co. at my husband’s insistence. I had never owned a chicken or even been around one. Honestly, thinking back on it...I REALLY didn’t want chickens. He knew I was depressed after becoming a stay at home wife at age 31 when I was used to working since I was 17 years old. So we went and I got 6 baby chicks at TSC.
I. Freaking. Fell. In. Love.

So I’ve gone from 6 baby chicks to 17 hens and 2 roosters in about a year. I have a fridge full of fresh eggs (5 dozen at the moment!) that I get to sell to make money back for my chickens. My girls have literally been paying their own way since they started laying this summer. It’s so rewarding when I go buy their feed and I pull out their little coin purse that I keep all their egg money in. I always tell the cashier that none of that is coming out of my own pocket. My girls pay for their own food!
I love going and hanging out in the chicken yard during the day. They all run up to see if you have a snack and they all want cuddles and their little combs petted. You truly haven’t lived until you’ve gotten snuggles from a chicken. ☺️🐓
I have like 100 other pics to post of my chickens but I can’t access all my photos through this dumb app!
Any other crazy chicken ladies on Glow?? ☺️💞🐣🐥🐓💜
