Must-Have Items (At Least in Our Household). I want to post some items that are absolute must-haves for us. These items have made life so much easier for both myself and my husband as first-time parents.
I'm gonna list where the items came from in case you want to check them out for yourself.
I'm gonna start off with nursing/breastfeeding essentials.
- Boppy Nursing Pillow. I have two. One of them was purchased from my Target registry and the other was purchased from Etsy.
- Nipple Cream. My favorite is Motherlove Nipple Cream, I bought it from Target.
- Nursing Pads. I use Medela Disposable Nursing Pads, I usually purchase them from Babies R Us.
- Nursing Bras. I wear the Medela Women's Nursing Seamless Bras. I have four and my mom purchased them from Target.

- Hands-Free Pumping Bras. I have three, they are the Medela Easy Expressions Bustier bras. All three of them came from Target.
- Nursing Cover. I purchased mine from Motherhood Maternity. My daughter is only six weeks so we don't don't go out much, however, I use it in the house sometimes lol. Don't ask why lol. I plan to just use bottles when we're out in public, which brings me to the next item.....
- Bottles. My daughter takes the Munchkin Latch bottles well. We haven't experienced any nipple confusion at all. I gave her a bottle for the first time when she was three weeks. She usually has three or four per day (my husband gives those to her).
- Storage Set. I use the Medela Breast Milk Storage Set. Someone purchased it off of my Babies R Us registry.
- Bottle Warmer. We use the Baby Brezza Bottle Warmer. My husband's aunt purchased it from Target.
- Vitamin-D Drops. My daughter's pediatrician recommended these. We use the Mommy's Bliss Organic Vitamin D Drops. We get them from Target.

These items are items that are convenient and I feel they are essential for first-time parents. These items are:
- Owlet Smart Sock. I know many people do not like this item, but it helps to ease our anxiety. I worry a lot so this items calms my worry. Some people say it makes them worry more, it makes me worry a lot less. For me, this item is a must-have. We purchased it from Babies R Us.
- Halo Bassinest. This is probably my favorite item of all. My daughter sleeps in it at night next to our bed. It swivels over our bed so it's almost as if she is in the bed with us. We love this item. It makes our night nursing sessions easy. She does have a nursery, but we're not comfortable with her sleeping in it yet. We love the Halo. My grandparents purchased it from Target.
- V-Tech Digital Video Monitor. We love this monitor. It has three cameras and it has really come in handy while I am working out in our home gym. I can still keep an eye on her. I also use it while I do other other things around the house. We purchased it from Target.
- Ubbi Diaper Bin. We have a total of five diaper pails in our house. They are all in different rooms and it is very convenient. My favorite is the Ubbi Diaper Bin. I feel like it seals the scent the best. We purchased purchased it Pottery Barn Kids.
- Ingenuity Play Yard. I love this item. She takes naps on this during the day. We spend most of our day downstairs so this item us convenient for that. She takes naps on the napper/bassinet part. It also has a changer. That's convenient because I can change her diaper right there instead of taking her to her nursery and changing her. My uncle purchased it from Babies R Us.
- Hatch Baby Rest Night Light and Sound Machine. I love this item because it saves me from having to turn the light on at night. My Sorority Sister purchased it from Target.
- 4moms Infant Tub. I love this item. It has so many neat features and my daughter is always so calm during bath time. My husband's aunt purchased it from Target.

- Graco DuetSoothe Swing & Rocker. She has started to like this now. She loves to kick her little feet and smile when she's in it lol. My parents purchased it from Babies R Us.
- Ingenuity InReach Mobile Lounger. For some reason, she likes to get in this item around noon. I have no idea why lol. We purchased it from Wal-Mart.
On The Go Items:
- Travel System. Everyone needs a travel system. We have the Stokke Nuna Pipa Car Seat and and Stokke Trailz Stroller. We haven't gotten a chance to use the stroller yet since we haven't been been on many outings. However, I am sure it will come in handy. The travel system was purchased from the Stokke Website.
- Child View Mirror. We have one for each vehicle. We have the Chicco Sandblasted Full Baby Mirror and two Nuby Backseat Mirrors. Right now, I ride on the backseat with her during car rides, but the mirrors are still convenient. My husband can always look to see what she's doing, which is probably sleeping lol. The Chicco mirror was purchased from Babies R Us and the Baby Mirrors were purchased from Wal-Mart.
- Carrier. I have two carriers, Ergobaby Four Position 360 and Infantino 4-in-1 convertible. My cousin purchased the Ergobaby carrier from Target and my husband's friend purchased the Infantino from Target. I love both of them.

- Car Seat Canopy. I love my car seat canopy. It has been cold in my area lately lately and it's so much to put the canopy canopy on her car seat instead of blankets. I purchased it from Etsy.
Bath and Skincare Items:
- Body Wash. She uses two types of Body Wash. Her main body wash is Dove Baby Sensitive Tip-to-Toe Wash. I decided on the Dove Baby products because I only use Dove and so does my husband. My mom used Dove Dove on me as a baby because I had a bad reaction to Johnson & Johnson. They did not have the Baby Line out then, that was almost 30 years ago lol. I love the Dove body wash on her. It's lightly scented and just perfect haha. We buy it at Target. We also use Eucerin Baby Wash on her. She had a little skin irritation when she was about three weeks so my husband's aunt recommended Eucerin. It cleared up almost immediately. We still bathe her in this sometimes. We buy this at Target also.
- Lotion. We only use Eucerin Baby Lotion on her. This is the only lotion she uses. I love it. We get it at Target.
- Cream/Protectant. We use the Aquaphor Baby Healing Ointment on her as a protectant. We get it from Target.
Laundry Detergent/Other Cleaning Items:
- Laundry Detergent. We wash her clothes in The Honest Co. Baby Detergent. We get it through our Honest Co. subscription.
- Dish Detergent. We clean her bottles in Babyganics Fragrance Free Foaming Dish and Baby Bottle Soap. We get it from Target.
- All-Purpose Surface Wipes. We use Babyganics All-Purpose Wipes. She's not touching a lot of things, however, we still keep everything clean.
- Breast Pump Cleaner. We use the Medela Quick Clean Breast Milk Breast Milk Removal Soap and the Medela Quick Clean Wipes to clean the breast pump. We also use the Sterilizer Bags to sterilize breast pump parts. We get these items from Wal-Mart.
There are some items I did not list because we have gotten a chance to use them yet. These items are: Snuggle Nest Traveler,Fisher Price Rock and Play Sleeper, Safety 1st Humidifier, and her Stokke Crib. We will use the Snuggle Nest Traveler in a few weeks when we take our first road trip. I am excited.
