Omg. Any military wives??

Question

My husband got his date for leaving for basic today. He leaves end of February. He’ll be missing our sons first birthday 😔 but we’re both excited and nervous. 
Any advice??? I don’t even know how to process it all right now. I’m gonna take it one day at a time but man I’m overloaded with emotions right now!

I’m an Air Force wife and girl, it’s so worth every second you guys spend apart. When you come from the type of family I do(very low income) the security of knowing you’ll always have a roof over your head, the safety of living on base, health care, etc, is very reassuring and rewarding. Deployments are hard but you get through them and it makes your love grow stronger. My husband will be deploying again right before our sons first birthday so we plan on having an early party for him to celebrate. Last year he deployed on our oldest birthday, missed my birthday, his birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and 90% of my pregnancy. We made it through and were stronger than ever. It’s scary, it’s stressful, it’s emotionally exhausting but it’s so so rewarding. Thank you in advance for not only his service but yours as well.

My husband went to basic on the 20th of November and it’s difficult I am not going to lie, but it’s a wonderful profession for them to be in and it guarantees money always. I have an almost 8 month old little boy and a 3 year old step daughter. You learn to cherish every call and letter you get and you learn to appreciate the time you have with them to the fullest. Yes he will miss countless events, but when he’s home it’s the best feeling ever.
