Anyone with Kaiser?

Question

I just signed on with Kaiser for the MD mandate for IVF. Coverage doesn’t start until January so a Kaiser doc won’t even talk to me until then. I’m 35 with documented 3 years of infertility, do you think they’ll make me do IUI first or let me go straight to IVF?

It depends on your diagnosis generally as recommended by your dr. They generally recommend at least one or two medicated IUIs before going to IVF if your don’t have a true medical reason why IUI wouldn’t work. Age isn’t one unless you’re over 40 I believe.

I have kaiser. I think my dr would have let me go straight to ivf if I had wanted. I did do IUI's first, but there wasn't a certain number of them or anything that I had to do first before moving on to ivf. I'm also doing the KSET program through them and it's amazing. My first fresh transfer didn't work and now I get two free frozen FETs which is such a relief!
