A snuza. Is it worth is??

Okay, I️ have anxiety super bad since I’ve had my daughter. She is only 11 days old. I️ would love to get something to help me have more piece of mind. Has anyone ever had a snuza?? Is it worth the money??

I have the pico and it is amazing for peace of mind. Pediatrician said a monitor like this wasn't necessary but I wasn't sleeping so she said it couldn't hurt. I decided on the Snuza instead of the owlet because it made more scientific sense to me. It seems like something using "pulse oximetry" would malfunction more often than a movement monitor and you couldn't change the variables like I can for the snuza. I also don't care to know oxygen levels I just needed something to tell me if his abdomen stopped moving.

I was saved by one of these types of monitors almost 24 years ago and had one with my son, I highly advise you get the one you prefer the sound of! X

We have the owlet and I love it!  The Snuza wouldn’t have worked for us because our little guy is a tummy sleeper.  The owlet will alert you if the oxygen level gets below 80% or heart rate gets down to 60 bpm.

I have the Pico! I love it. The only complaint I have is the range is spotty on the phones- but the monitor works with or without the phone access.

The Snuza is soooo worth it!!!! 
If my aunt didn’t have it she would of never known my nephew quit breathing in the middle of the night. And he sleeps right beside her bed in a bassinet! 
I’m buying one just because it really can be life saving and also helps you sleep. It flashes at night and if baby stops breathing for a certain amount of time (I think 10 seconds) it starts beeping. Then if baby continues to stop breathing it sends off a huge alarm. Sounds like a car alarm. No way you can sleep through it!

We won’t be getting any monitors like the Snuza or owlet for two big reasons. 1) EVERY doctor/nurse/ pediatrician/ GP I’ve talked to has said to not get them for the main reason it won’t prevent something from happening it’ll just alert once something already has happened. 2) human error/malfunctions can make them go off at any time for any reason. I don’t need to be sleep deprived zombie and have more anxiety than before cause baby kicked the monitor off or hubby didn’t put it on all the way or what ever reason. There is to much room for possible human error alone to make myself not want to get it. And god forbid a baby got sids at night while parents are asleep, sadly that monitor isn’t going to bring them back or stop it from happening. All it’ll do is alert you that it has already happened. For those reasons alone we won’t be getting anything like it, we will just be get audio monitors.

I think it's worth it. We have the Owlet for our daughter, it was definitely worth the price. I think any monitir like that is worth having if you can afford it.
