Water breaking without dilation!??

Does anyone know if your cervix has to be open for ur water to break? At my last check up my cervix was closed and high up. 38 weeks 4 days, just curious on if this happened to you ladies 💕🙏🏽

It didn't happen to me but my cousin's water broke and she wasn't dilated at all. She was in labor for 3 days.😱

Nope, with my son I had not been dilated & my water broke 7 days before due date. Got to hospital was only 1cm.

Sorry I’m no help, but wanted to respond. In my first pregnancy I had to have my waters broken during labour.
With this one I’m having a c section, but will let you know if they pop before 😊 - good luck
