Vitex after miscarriage?

I just had my second miscarriage and am thinking about trying vitex? When would I start taking it? Is this something I have to tell my doctor I'm taking and do I stop after the first trimester?

I have used it and got pregnant twice  my son is 8 and now one on the way   it did work for me but never had misscairagies I never had periods  this stiff got me pregnant quick

I started taking Vitex along with B Complex vitamins in early October to try to regulate my crazy long periods and lengthen my luteal phase. Worked like a charm and my 2nd cycle taking it I conceived. (I’m 5w5d today) There’s a lot of controversy on when to take it. After googling a lot myself, I would take 2 capsules every night every day of the month EXCEPT the days of my period. There’s also a lot of controversy on stopping it once you conceive. Again, after researching, I decided to continue taking it because I read that if you stop, your progesterone levels will drop, increasing your risk for miscarriage. Eventually you should wean yourself off by 10-12 weeks. However, I’m not sure if this is Vitex related but I started bleeding Monday and am now still spotting brown. No cramps, no back pain, no clots, closed cervix, positive pregnancy tests. I don’t think this is related to the Vitex because the same thing happened to me back in May when I️ wasn’t on Vitex and I painfully miscarried at 5 weeks. Long story short, I absolutely recommend it to help regulate long cycles, but as for continuing it in the first trimester... I have no idea. It’d be worth it to mention it to your doctor!

I haven't heard of vitex for miscarriages. I read it works for regulating cycles. I started taking it after a myomectomy to regulate my cycles and again after a loss at 23 weeks to regulate my cycles. After both instances my cycles returned on time. But I've also always had regular cycles so I can't say for sure it was the vitex. I take the drops with water daily. Stop when my period starts for about 5 days and continue again. I read its import at to take a break for at least 5 days a month
