Should I get him a Promise Ring?

So my boyfriend and I have been together for almost a year now, and I think it would be cute for him to have a promise ring from me since I have one from him! But the only thing holding me back is the fact that he doesn’t really like jewelry and said if I got him one he would only wear it while he was with me. We have talked about married and definitely wanna get married one day, but he said that he would get a tattoo of a ring since he wouldn’t wear his everyday. He is a mechanic so I understand him not wanting to get it dirty, but what do you guys think? Should I get him one for Christmas or no? This is us BTW💕💕

Try a rubber ring, I’ve seen a lot of guys wear them bc they don’t like jewelry. Like a black one

I got my bf promise ring after he got me one. he doesnt wear jewelry all that often but he wears that ring every day and only takes it off when he showers

If he told you he wouldn’t wear it unless he’s around you, how is that him showing other girls he’s off the market? You’ll be next to him so they’ll know you’re together, but when he’s away and it’s not on, he’ll look single. 
I told my boyfriend that his reasoning for giving you the ring was so guys knew you were off the market and he said “that’s super possessive of him and clearly he doesn’t want girls to know he’s taken if he won’t wear one.” My boyfriend works with cars too and said he’d wear a silicone ring all day if it meant he could show off he is married to me. 
If you want to get him one, get him one. They have the silicone rings for $20 online. But don’t get mad when he’s not wearing it since he told you he won’t.

Maybe a key chain?? My dad turned his wedding ring into a keychain because he doesn’t wear jewelry and can’t wear rings at work for safety reasons

If you’re wanting to get a ring I’d get one of those silicone ones. It’s something he could wear safely at work and not have to worry about ruining it.
