how often should my baby be pooping? how often does yours?

My baby is formula fed for the last few months and eats solids too but he still likes his bottle better. He seems to only poop once every 2 or 3 days. I looked it up and it was saying it could be because he's constipated from dehydration, but his poops are not solid and he drinks water often while playing. How often does your baby poop?

Once or twice a day. Occasionally she skips a day. She always has been one to go a lot. Before solids it’s was atleast 6x a day!

Ours is formula and he poops usually once a day, sometimes every other day. Ours has constipation issues so he eats prunes & pear purée once a day to help

My daughter is formula feed and alternates between pooping everyday to once every 2 or 3 days. Pediatrician said all is completely normal as long as the poop is not hard and it doesn't seem to hurt them/cause them to really strain. My daughter does on occasion get constipated so he has us give her 2 or 3 oz of watered down apple juice or apple prune juice for a couple days and it does the trick.

When my baby was almost ebf she sometimes went 8 days without pooping! doctor said it was normal as long as the poops  were soft. now that she is eating food, she normally poops everyday, sometimes multiple times. periodically skips a day. I think you're good since the poop isn't hard. babies are just so different from one another so it's often better to watch the symptoms than to compare your baby to another! :)

Also I find that giving some mashed fruit, water or juice helps loosen him up.

If my son isn't constipated, he normally goes twice a day, sometimes only once. But if he's constipated he can go about 3 days without pooping. He's also on a formula/solids diet. So I think it depends on how much he eats
