crying during sex?

have you ever cried during sex (consensual) and if so, why? it happened to me today and i can’t really explain why, i think it was a combination of the fact that my bf had to travel out of the country tonight for family affairs, me realizing how much i love him and am going to miss him, and the pleasure from what we were doing. i felt incredibly stupid because i couldn’t explain to him why i started bawling out of nowhere since i didn’t understand why it happened and he was really concerned, has anyone else experienced this?
