How much time off will you be taking after baby?

I am trying to decide after I have baby if I want to take my full 12 weeks off. I really love my job and just don't know if it's selfish to want to go back to work right away.

I’m in Canada, took the full year paid leave. Now I can take 18 months so will definitely do that with the next!

Yikes I'm in the US and I'm only allowed 6 weeks off.  Unpaid.

In the uk we get up to a year but not all paid I taking the year but possible will go back early but I won’t be going back before 12 weeks for sure. I want to spend as much time with my son when he here

Im really jealous of all the women eligible for more than 6weeks off with their littles! Here in the US, im only eligible for 6 weeks UNPAID maternity leave😭 which is horrible especially since I'm the only income right now..

Took 6 weeks with the first, will do the same with the second.  Can't reasonably afford any more than that. A month and a half of no salary is really stressful.

I took 18 weeks paid for my first when I lived in New Jersey. But now that my husband and I moved out of state I’ve been a stay at home mom and I’ll stay home for the first year or two with the next baby too. Possibly longer. Child care is so expensive🙄
