my crush asked if I liked him....

i hadnt texted him in hours then all of a sudden I get a notfication. I reply a little bit later and it says 'do you like me?' so my normal answer was 'why would you think that', his answer was 'because you would always go out of your way to talk to me, or make me feel better even when you have better things to do' I do like him but I dont know how he feels about me. im 13 and hes 15. My reply was ' I will always go out of my way to help someone no matter how big or small' I think I stuffed up. I do like him but what if he doesnt like me.?????
