When do you stop watching adult shows like the walking dead, locked up, and violent superhero movies around your babies?

My baby just turned 4 months he's becoming more aware but not aware enough to notice the tv etc... what do you think? (and please no hateful snide remarks,  I'm really not sure about this)

wait for all the "Stop watching ANY AND ALL television" comments, OP. don't you know the mom rules?? 🙄😂😂 but to answer your question, don't watch anything violent or disturbing around babies when they start noticing the world around them. stick to family friendly stuff. :)

I stopped watching all tv around our baby around 4 months. I felt like up until then she couldn’t really tell it was in but now she definitely looks towards it so I save watching tv until she is asleep

My daughter is 18 mos. I still watch the same stuff around her. She prefers trolls and animal movies and ignores my shows.

I don't want violent shows really, but anything intense like Call the Midwife (birth scenes) and dr type shows where things get intense or there's yelling, I just had to stop and my daughter is 17 months. Before now, she tuned out the tv, and I've noticed recently when things get intense, she starts watching or gets quiet and I don't want to upset her. At 4 months though, they don't really understand. It's just sounds and lights to them.

walking dead comes on at the same time I'm getting my baby girl ready for bed... I have all of this season PVRed... I'll eventually watch them. I did the same thing with Game of Thrones

my sister and her boyfriend would watch all kinds of gory show as well as the walking dead and his mom and her boyfriend would watch even more awful things than she would and my niece is very violent and hits and throws things but to each their own I guess

I think it was around 6 months that we started watching only family friendly shows around our daughter. The walking dead is my guilty pleasure, and that’s an after bedtime only show, but now she’s almost 3, and we’ll watch shows like supernatural with her in the room.
