My SO took our daughter to see her grandad this morning and he gave her some pineapple to suck on.

She came back with this rash on her face... he's given it to her once before but I was unable to see if she'd had any reaction because I was at work whilst he was looking after her. Though, I'd like to think that if she had a reaction before, that he wouldn't of given it to her again.

Personally, I wouldn't of given it to her myself, I just know that when I eat pineapple it can sting your mouth/face and I thought it would be too harsh on her. She also has eczema so she has sensitive skin.

Does this look like an allergic reaction? Or is pineapple something you shouldn't give babies? I'm a first time mum. She's just over 6 months old. X

Thank you for the advice girls, you really helped. The rash has gone today and she showed no other symptoms other then the rash so I'm putting it down to it being really acidic and I've asked my SO's dad not to give it to her again. X
