Belief changing
I was born jn a Muslim family and i have always been a strong believer. I wasn't a extremist, i dress modestly in loose clothing, i wear a hijab, i try my best to make every prayer and read some Quran. Last month I stopped everything. Why? Because i have been making dua for the past 10 years for a happy marriage and my marriage is at divorce right now. Also my husband is a extremist. He says i shouldnt cut my hair shorter than my chest, i should wear just the black burkah, I shouldn't put on makeup or perfume. I cant celebrate anniversary, birthdays or cultural days because they are not part of Islam. I have started to question Islam because of this. I feel like im oppressed. So many restrictions mainly focused on girls. Girls cant wear what today's society calls fashion, we can't pluck eyebrows, we cant use perfume we cant marry whoever we want (has to be Muslim) or as many we want(notthat i want to habe more than one but just saying). Whereas guys can wear whatever they want, they have zero restrictions, they can marry anyone and up to 4 women. Why this unfairness? Please im losing my mind over these questions i dont know who to turn to.
