Growing my natural hair color out but what color is it? UPDATE

To me it's like a grey but not old people grey.. it's not brunette it's not even close to brown. What is thiiiiiis. My eyebrows and lashes are this color too like it's not completely black it's super light in the sun.

UPDATE: To me, this isn't "dark brown" I've never had brown hair, I was born with blonde and now it looks an ash grey color. The camera makes it appear darker but I know it isn't any shade of brown.

I’m not sure where you got gray from but it’s definitely a dark brown

As a cosmetologist I️ would classify this as a dark brown which is like a level 3/4 on the hair color chart.

Level 4 ash brown, no warm tones which is why it looks “grey” to you

You mean the roots? I can see the 'grey' I would say it's more of an 'ash' I have a similar problem
