Any doctors in the room?

My husband ejaculated blood and then peed blood. Took him to the hospital the “doctor” said it was “normal” and to follow up with his urologist. Urine exame was negative for anything his cat scan normal. I mean idk but I cant believe that it’s normal for something to happen like that. He’s 24 years old btw. Anybody have any ideas?

Blood in the urine is def not "normal". UTI, kidney stones, and even medications can cause blood in the urine. Is he taking any blood thinners? He def needs to he seen by a nephrologist but that doctor who initially said its normal sounds like a dumbass

The blood in the urine was probably left in the urethra from the blood that accompanied the semen. Has he had any medical procedures lately?  Typically for men under 40, blood in the semen is benign.

I’m not a doctor but that sounds like it could be a UTI.

I dated a guy that he said that happened to him when he ejaculated he had blood in it. The dr told him that if he had a hard hit to the area that could happen, rough sex or masterbating. Never happened after the one time so not sure exactly what caused it.

My husband peed blood out and went and had it checked out but same thing ... they couldn’t figure out what was wrong and it went away the next day so I never got answers either
