Tips for starting metformin?

I’m starting today.. should I take it at night? Morning? I’m doing 1 pill for a week then 2 pills for a week then up to 3 from then on. Any tips are helpful!!

Definitely have something in your stomach, if you drink coffee in the morning I recommend staying near a toilet... Literally. 
Drink lots of water. I had a little bit of nausea starting off but they gave me something for it but it wasn't anything a little ginger ale couldn't help. 
My side effects were worse in the morning so I began getting up earlier to deal with them before work. Took me about a month to get "acclimated" though. 
It's different for everyone your body just has to get used to it.

I would recvone d night that way if you feel crappy you won’t have to suffer the whole day. Also make sure you have a decent bit in your stomach before you take it. Good luck it sucks at first but once your body gets used to it it’s worth it.

I just started my first pill In the morning. for one week then when I got to 2 i did morning and noon. when I get 3 i did morning noon and 5. I'm going to warn you the first week of upping your doses can be harsh.. I had diarrhea  and cramping... But my body is adjusted to it now.
