Anyone else think emotional cheating (ongoing text/calling relationship) is worse than a one night stand?

Months ago my husband fell in love with a woman online he had never even met before and it hurt me bad . I would have rather him had a one night stand than him investing his feelings into another woman because you lose the mind before the body . Even though it was easy to get rid of her it's hard to get over it somedays

They're both terrible and I'd dump anyone over them, but I see what you're talking about. Emotional cheating seems so intentional and sneaky whereas sometimes one night stands (although not an accident) can be more of a terrible spur the moment and less "intentional". Idk

Doesn’t  matter what kind of cheating it is. It’s all gross and shitty. I’d be fine whether it was texting or a one night stand. People who do that shit are a waste of time.

I most certainly agree that emotional cheating is a thing and is in fact just as bad as sexual encounters. The last long term boyfriend before I met/married my husband was an emotional cheater. Lied to me and took another girl on a date. 😞 Broke my heart. Shattered it into pieces. 💔 Of course once he confessed that he didn’t actually go to the hockey game with his friend, but this girl instead, I called him out on being a cheater.  I just couldn’t believe he would do such a thing. He told me he didn’t cheat because he didn’t have sex with her and they just went on a date. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I told him that I didn’t care if he held her hand, kissed her, bought her ticket to the game, shared a beer with her, whatever...you took ANOTHER girl on a DATE. That’s cheating in my books. I mean who REALLY knows what went down on this date. I’ll never know?! 🤷🏼‍♀️ And this girl was certainly not “just a friend” cus I had never heard this girl come up in conversation before and we dated for almost 2 years. Luckily I was only 20-21 y.o. at the time and I was able to recognize I was better off without him and that I was able bounce back from this. 
After him I stayed single for quite a while then started dating around here and there until I met my husband 7 years ago. 😘 We’ve been married for almost 2.5 years and are now TTC#1.

Who cares which is worse. It’s all unacceptable. People need to quit worrying about the severity of the cheating and just leave lol

My ex had a relationship with a coworker and he claimed they were just friends with SO much in common. We got divorced and they are now in a full on relationship. Douche.
