Induction Experiences???

Question

Anyone that's been induced what was your experience?  I would like to have an idea of what to expect because it's looking like I'm going to be induced this week if baby doesn't decide to make it's appearance before then.😫😓  Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated as well!

I got induced last Sunday and was terrified. Grateful to say it wasn't worth me stressing about it as much as I did. I was not dilated so before being induced I had to go and start on  cervadil to dilate after I was 1 cm and 70% effaced they started pitocin at 7 and they broke my water as well. by 8am I was a 3 and got my epidural. It was a bit long but it went smoothly. Hope you have a smooth delivery good luck!!

Everyone’s is different i went in on a Thursday morning to be induced and didn’t have baby to Saturday morning. I pushed for 4 1/2 hours.

Mine was great, except for the no eating part. They started my pitocin and broke my water and 4 hours later my daughter was born. The labor is fast and intense, but it’s also over very quickly. Don’t hesitate to ask for the epidural, it took me almost an hour to get it placed then 20 minutes to kick in. I was already pushing a few minutes after it started to work!

I would say try to relax and enjoy it. my son was induced and it was the best experience,  I had an amazing nurse who said she just had a baby and would let me get an epidural as soon as I felt uncomfortable.  an hour in I had a epidural and 4 hours total he was born . congrats you will be fine.
